that target financial institution customers and try to steal personal
information such as:
- phishing (fraudulent emails),
- vishing (fraudulent calls or emails requesting a call back), and
- smishing (fraudulent texts to a cell phone)

- Threaten to close your account if you do not take the immediate action of providing personal information.
- Send an e-mail asking you to reply with personal information.
- Require you to enter personal information directly into an e-mail.
